FAQ

How does Infrared Skin Tightening work?
Utilizing multi-second pulses, Infrared Skin Tightening (IR) delivers incredible results. The dermal tissue is heated which causes instant contraction of collagen fibers, and a tissue response is stimulated which in turn invokes the new production of collagen. Through these two mechanisms we are able to turn back the clock on your skin.
Is the treatment painful?
Clients usually report feeling an elastic band like pinch.
How many treatments will I need and how often?
Treatments vary from person to person. Typically you can expect at least 6 treatments for best results, but more treatments may be required. Appointments are scheduled 2-4 weeks apart.
What type of machine do you use?
I use a Sharplight laser machine with integrated IPL (Intense light therapy) and DPC (Dynamic Pulse Control ), this dual therapy allows for a more selective and effective treatment. The handpiece itself cools down to -8° ensuring a comfortable experience, and preventing damage to surrounding tissue.
How long does each treatment take to complete?
Depending on the size and area of the treatment, time can vary. Typically though you can expect to be with us for about 15-30 minutes.
Are there any risks or complications with Infrared Skin Tightening (IR)?
Erythema (redness), and edema (swelling) can occur, this is typical of the treatment and normal. This treatment will result in the denaturation of fat cells, and as a result the fat cells will be eliminated.
Is there any downtime?
No! There is zero down time required after, redness in the treated area is possible and normal but subsides fairly quickly.
